A catch-all email mailbox receives email messages sent to invalid email addresses under the same domain. For example, an email message sent to the miswritten suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. Thus, you can receive email messages from pals or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling error or to an outdated one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Only one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for such a mailbox. This is due to the fact that at a certain moment you may begin receiving spam emails in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction means that the spam will not be received in a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Web Hosting

Creating a catch-all e-mailbox will be rather easy in case you have a Linux web hosting with our company. You can activate this option through our advanced, albeit easy-to-use Email Manager, which is built into the Hepsia hosting Control Panel, via which you will administer the shared hosting account itself. You’ll see all the mailboxes that you’ve set up displayed alphabetically and on the right-hand side of each one there will be a small "Catch-all" icon, which will instantaneously inform you whether a particular mailbox stores all the email messages pertaining to a given domain or not. With a single mouse click on the icon you can enable or disable this option at any time. If there is enabled email forwarding or in case some other mailbox has already been set up as a catch-all one for a given domain, you’ll receive a warning note from our system. The latter won’t replace/deactivate anything automatically and without your approval.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

A catch-all address can be created with a few mouse clicks in case you have a Linux semi-dedicated hosting with our company. The semi-dedicated account will be administered via our in-house created Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you’ll be able to set up mailboxes using any domain name hosted there. To enable the catch-all option for a certain mailbox, you’ll need to click on the symbol with the same name, which will be on the right-hand side of each mailbox. Disabling the feature can be accomplished in the exact same way and will not require more than one click either. If a catch-all mailbox has already been enabled for a certain domain name, you’ll receive a warning notification. The same is valid if the mailbox that you’d like to be a catch-all one has email forwarding activated, as our system will never replace or deactivate any feature automatically.
